Trans women get all of the non-uterine symptoms of a period when our estrogen levels fluctuate. Also what does equating your menstrual cycle with womanhood say to trans men who also get their cycles? Your argument seems to say that trans men are “real women” while trans women are not. How does this compute for you?
There are more points I disagree with in your post (opting in? I was beaten, sexually assaulted and threatened with rape as a closeted trans woman, wonderful “formative” experiences at that.) but that’s my main objection.
